Living in Michigan, our winters here are absolutely horrendous (unless you are a lover of the cold and all things that go along with it). With that being said, today was Groundhog’s Day, which I didn’t even realize until I was headed to the gym and heard on the radio that the groundhog saw his shadow. Apparently that means that we have a few more months left of winter. However, I’m really hoping for warmer weather tomorrow!
Now, I’m sure you’re wondering what my skincare regimen looks like and how I keep my skin healthy with the harsh winters. First of all, I will say that my skin tends to be drier. But, the products I’ve been using have seriously been a game-changer for me! All of my skincare products, including all my makeup, lotion, body wash, hair care, etc. (and even nutrition) are all Arbonne products. They are a vegan company with the motto, “Pure, Safe, & Beneficial”.
They’re gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, free of parabens, and have no harmful chemicals, fragrances, or dyes. Personally, I use the RE9 Anti-Aging skincare set for my face, along with all of their makeup, haircare, and other body products, like I mentioned above. And oh, I totally forgot to tell you about all their oils and detox products! There’s just too much goodness to talk about in a single post without losing y’all’s attention! I’m also obsessed with the gelee; it’s a year-round staple for me. AHH, everything is seriously so amazing and second to none!
In addition to my skincare, I also eat colorfully year-round. There’s so many antioxidents and phytonutrients in eating the rainbow, and I love to see how many different colors I can eat. Eating well not only affects how our bodies run (since food is fuel), but it also affects our skin. I tend to stay away from gluten, dairy, and sugar as well, as those are top inflammatory foods. But, I’ll touch base more on nutrition and how if affects our skin and our bodies as a whole in another post.
So, that’s all for now! Just wanted to love on those products today and share with you all what’s working for me, in hopes of helping you too. Have a happy & healthy day, and be blessed, my friends!
xoxo,
miranda kay
